« L’innocence du Printemps » is a story of passage, that precise moment when everything changes gently, almost silently.
To convey this movement, I painted this large veil over her head, taking care not to freeze it in place. I worked it so that it feels alive, like fabric dancing in a light breeze.
This drape represents the transition from one season to another: the end of the cold and the arrival of gentleness.
Her face, tilted slightly to the left, turns softly toward this renewal.
Her features reflect deep tranquility, a kind of innocence and trust. Her eyes are closed so she can better listen to what is happening within her, because this change cannot be seen right away: it is felt first on the skin, in a softer breath.
This rebirth can also be read in the flowers on her dress.
I wanted them to look like the very first shoots of the year, the ones that dare to emerge while the earth is still cold. They are delicate, almost shy, yet already carry within them that stubborn life force that refuses to fade.
Because after going through our own winters, those periods of doubt, learning to welcome the light again takes courage.
With this piece, I wanted to paint that fragile moment when we decide to trust what is beginning.
It is an invitation to leave behind what weighs us down, to find a simple clarity, a way of moving forward without fear, and to simply rediscover our own innocence.
